Current Information:Born-Lambeth Sturminster Marshall Churchyard, Dorset 6th Royal West Surrey (Queens) arrived in France in June 1915 as part of 37 Brigade, 12th Division and had seen action during the Battle of Loos in September and October of that year. Private Taylor died of wounds on 23rd October, 1915 having been evacuated back to England but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded.but tyhere is a strong liklihood that it was during ther Battle of Loos. |
